1. Tapeworms - it is white to cream color pieces or segments surrounded the anus of the dog, puppies or other pets. Sometimes it can grow up to 20cm or sometimes it is too small to be visible. It resembles rice grains, sesame seeds, cucumber seeds. Tapeworm is acquired with flea larvae eating fecal matter that contains tapeworms.

2. Hookworms - as the name itself suggests these worms has a hook like a mouth which they use to stick to the intestines, sucking the blood and growing. It can also pass on from mother to puppies as well. The other ways to attracts the hookworms are through, oral, skin infection, utero or mother’s milk. Dogs have habits to lick or eat grasses, mud, soil etc which are infected or contaminated in a way results in bringing hookworms back with them.
         Symptoms - Weight loss/Anemia, weakness, pale gums, diarrhea etc.
3. Roundworms - are the white or light brown worms which stay and feed off the intestines. It can be borrowed from the mother if she is suffering from roundworms or while feeding also. The other ways in which a puppy or dogs brings home roundworms is by eating other animals poop who are already infected by the same. Roundworms are easily visible in poop.
        Symptoms - Potbelly, weakness, pains, weight loss
4. Whipworms - As the name itself suggest the worm is in the shape of a whip which also means it is very thin. It stays in the large intestines of the pet raising up to 2-3 inches in size. They are thin like structure makes them hardly ever visible. It can be caused when the dog or puppy eats or drinks food or water which is contaminated with whipworms.
        Symptoms - bleeding, mucus, anemia etc.
It is suggested to consult a vet when your dog is showing the above-mentioned symptoms. Your vet will diagnose the dog, basically the poop of your dog and recommend the appropriate dewormers as per the worms which are disturbing your dog’s health.
